Monthly meeting

Help us bring attention to cat and kitten adoption by decorating a tote bag for a new cat owner.  Make one tote and earn a maximum of one hour of community service. For SHPL cardholders in grades 6-12. No registration required. 

Our Pidgeon Hill Road Library building turns 20 years old on July 24, the day we held our grand opening in 2004. The community is invited to drop in between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. for the festivities.

Drop into this on your own program to create two friendship bracelets for two hours of community service! We will provide the space, materials and printed instructions and you provide the skills.  For SHPL cardholders in 6-12 grade.

Decorate a pencil case to donate to our school supplies drive for a maximum of one hour of community service.  For SHPL cardholders in grades 6-12.  No registration required. 

Representatives from the Suffolk County Police Department's Second Precinct will discuss topics related to community policing. Residents are invited to bring up issues of concern in their neighborhoods.

Please take the time to donate blood from 2:30-7 p.m. on Aug. 21 and you could save three lives! Blood supply is typically low in the summer, and donations are badly needed. 

Help us by coloring a set of bookmarks that we can pass on to our patrons!  Color 4 bookmarks featuring our designs and cut them out for a maximum of one hour of community service. For SHPL cardholders in 6-12 grade.

Tweens and Teens are invited to drop into the YA Library to play on a variety video gaming systems setup with preselected games.  This will not be a quiet library night!  For those SHPL cardholders in grades 6-12.  No registration r
