The Library offers passes to about two dozen museums on Long Island and in the metro area. Criteria varies, but most admit a family of four (2 adults and 2 children).
Museum passes are available to be reserved by adult (18 and older) South Huntington Library patrons who have a valid library card in good standing. Reservations must be made for the actual date of your intended visit.
** During summer hours, passes reserved for Sundays should be picked up on Saturday. **

Printable Pass
Printer Icon Reserved passes can be printed from home or at the library. This pass will only be valid for the Date of Visit listed on the printed pass.
Pick Up/Return Pass
Reserved passes may be picked up at the Children’s Reference Desk after 3 p.m. on the day prior to use and must be returned to the Children’s Services Desk by 1 p.m. the day after use. A $5.00 per day late fee will be charged to your library account for passes returned late. Loss or mutilation of a pass will result in a replacement fee of $25.00. If a pass is returned late so as to result in another borrower’s inability to use the pass on the date they reserved it, the cost of that borrower’s admission will be charged to your library account.
Library Closings
To reserve museum passes for days the library is scheduled to be closed, you can make a reservation for the day before or after the holiday and pick up the pass the day before the library is scheduled to be closed. Printable passes are unaffected by library closings.
Monthly Limit
To ensure fair distribution of passes, only one pass per family may be checked out at any given time and repeat visits to the same museum within the month are not permitted.
No-shows
Failure to pick up a pass or cancelling less than 48 hours prior to a reservation will be considered a “no-show.” Two “no-shows” within 60 days will result in the cardholder’s reservation privileges being suspended for 60 days.
