Volunteer Opportunities
The South Huntington Public Library offers Teen Volunteer Opportunities throughout the year for SHPL patrons in grades 6-12. Library Volunteer Opportunity (grades 6-12) This is offered 1-2 times a month. To find out about registration and program details see our newsletter or online calendar.
Teen Advisory Board (grades 6-12)
The South Huntington Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is an active volunteer organization that works on behalf of the library’s Young Adult community. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at 7pm from September to June and attendance at these meeting qualifies as community service. No registration required. Additional opportunities for community service in our library are presented at these meetings and may have specific age and grade requirements in addition to a training.
