The following community service opportunities are available to SHPL cardholders entering grades 6-12 in Fall 2024.

Community service letters are emailed within 2 weeks after the program.

Space may be limited.

Cat Totes: a Community Service Program

Saturday, July 20

1:00-3:00pm

Help us bring attention to cat and kitten adoption by decorating a tote bag for a new cat owner.  Make one tote and earn a maximum of one hour of community service. 

Friendship Bracelets: a Community Service Program

Monday, July 29

3:00-5:00pm

Drop into this on your own program to create two friendship bracelets for two hours of community service! We will provide the space, materials and instructions and you provide the skills on creating friendship bracelet patterns such as chevrons, braids, stripes, etc. 

Decorate a Pencil Case: a Community Service Program

Wednesday, July 31

3:00-5:00pm

Decorate a pencil case to donate to our school supplies drive for a maximum of one hour of community service.  

Decorate Bookmarks: a Community Service Program

Wednesday, August 21

3:00-5:00pm

Help us by coloring a set of bookmarks that we can pass on to our patrons!  Color 4 bookmarks featuring our designs and cut them out for a maximum of one hour of community service.
