Jennifer Chiaverini. Canary Girls.

Emma Donoghue. Learned by Heart.

Lisa Jewell. None of This Is True

Celebrating her forty-fifth birthday, popular podcaster Alix Summer crosses paths with Josie Fair, who is also celebrating her own forty-fifth birthday. A few days later, they bump into each other again. Josie thinks she might be an interesting subject for Alix’s podcast series. Although Alix finds her unsettling, she can’t resist the temptation to keep making the podcast. She starts to realize that Josie has been hiding some very dark secrets. Before she knows it, Josie has inveigled her way into Alix’s life—and into her home. Just as quickly as she arrived, Josie disappears. Only then does Alix discover that Josie has left a terrible and terrifying legacy in her wake, and that Alix has become the subject of her own true crime podcast, with her life and her family’s lives under mortal threat.

James Rollins. Tides of Fire.

An international research station in the Coral Sea comes under siege during a geological disaster that triggers massive quakes, deadly tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions. To stop the world from burning, it’s up to Sigma Force to uncover a secret buried at the heart of our planet.

Jennifer Weiner. The Breakaway

Thirty-four-year-old Abby Stern has made it to a happy place. True, she still has gig jobs instead of a career, and the apartment where she’s lived since college still looks like she just moved in. But she’s got good friends, she’s got her bike, and her bike club in Philadelphia. She’s at peace with her plus-size body—at least, most of the time—and she’s on track to marry her childhood sweetheart. Yet Abby can’t escape the feeling that something isn’t right…or the memories of one night spent with a man named Sebastian two years ago. On the first day of a group bike trip from New York City to Niagara Falls, Abby is shocked to see Sebastian in the group. Abby is determined to keep her distance, even if their chemistry is undeniable. Over the next two weeks, strangers become confidantes, hidden truths come to light, and a teenage girl with a secret will unite all the riders in surprising ways—while all of Abby’s certainties about herself, her mother, and the nature of love are challenged.

Sandie Jones. The Trade Off.

For Stella, deputy editor of The Globe, the choice has always been clear. It doesn’t matter how low she has to stoop—getting the best story is what she’s built her reputation on. For Jess, The Globe’s rookie reporter, the story stops when the truth does. But she knows that the dirty tricks of the tabloids will be hard to overturn. And when a celebrity is hounded by The Globe and pays the ultimate price, Jess wonders just how much Stella and the paper are responsible. Determined to show the world what the tabloid is capable of, Jess will do whatever it takes to uncover the truth, but she needs to watch her back, because someone else is prepared to kill to bury it.
