Celebrate National Poetry Month at the Library!

April is National Poetry Month! Celebrate all month long at the library by participating in our interactive Blackout Poetry Station.

What is Blackout Poetry all about?

Blackout poetry is a mixture of poetry and art made by taking a page of printed text and blacking out the unwanted words to create a poem or statement. Keep it simple or add drawings and designs to fill the page.

We will provide book pages from discarded library books and an assortment of markers and pens for you to use. Bring your completed poem home or add it to our display for others to admire.

Stop by the lobby throughout the month of April to participate! All are welcome.
