December 2022 - New Books

We’ve read so many great books in 2022 and still some more to come in December! We’d like to highlight a few new releases to get the holiday reading season started.  We know you’ll want to place holds on these as soon as you can so you can cozy up with some hot cocoa, twinkly lights, and a good read! 

Michelle Gallen. Factory Girls

Taking a summer job at a local shirt factory in 1994, Catholic Maeve Murray, who grew up during the Troubles in Northern Ireland, looks forward to saving money for University while working alongside Protestants and an untrustworthy English boss in this darkly comic novel.

Cormac McCarthy. Stella Maris

Told entirely through the transcripts of the narrator's psychiatric sessions, this intimate portrait of grief and longing follows 20-year-old Alicia Western as she, diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, contemplates the nature of madness, her hallucinations and her own existence in 1972 Black River Falls, Wisconsin.

Hannah Morrissey. The Widowmaker

John le Carré. A Private Spy
