Fiona Barton. Local Gone Missing

Detective Elise King investigates a man's disappearance in a seaside town where the locals and weekenders are at odds with each other in this rich and captivating new novel from the New York Times bestselling author of The Widow. Ebbing is a small town, but it's full of secrets and hidden connections that run deeper and darker than Elise could have ever imagined.

Patrick Radden Keefe. Rogues

Keefe is the New York Times bestselling author of Empire of Pain and Say Nothing.  This collection of stories originally published in The New Yorker all contain what Keefe says are his “abiding preoccupations: crime and corruption, secrets and lies, the permeable membrane separating licit and illicit worlds, the bonds of family, the power of denial.”

Meg Mitchell Moore. Vacationland

Louisa has traveled to Penobscot, Maine for the summer with her three children and left her husband behind in Brooklyn. She is concerned about her parents; her father seems to be sinking into dementia and her mother seems to be in denial about it.  Kristie has also run away to Maine for the summer to escape her past and confront her future. A delicious summer read set in midcoast Maine, tackling family secrets, marriage, motherhood and privilege.

Sarah Stewart Taylor. The Drowning Sea

Former Long Island homicide detective Maggie D'Arcy is unemployed and is spending the summer in Ireland with her boyfriend, Conor and her teenage daughter Lilly. Their vacation takes a dangerous turn when human remains wash up below the cliffs near where they are staying. Maggie becomes involved with the investigation and her daughter becomes even more involved with the people in the village including one of the dead man's friends.

Therese Anne Fowler. It All Comes Down to This

Beck, Claire, and Sophie Geller are a trio of strong-minded women whose mother, Marti, will be dying soon and taking her secrets with her. Marti has ensured that her modest estate is easy for her family to deal with once she's gone--including a provision that the family's summer cottage on Mount Desert Island, Maine, must be sold, the proceeds split equally between the three girls. Enter C.J. Reynolds, an enigmatic southerner ex-con with his own hidden past, who complicates the situation. All is not what it seems, and everything is about to change.
