Chill out and read this season with the SHPL Adult Winter Reading Challenge! 

From January 8th through February 26th, patrons will have the opportunity to earn raffle tickets by reading books, writing reviews, and completing winter themed activities on Beanstack. Readers will receive a prize upon completion of the challenge and Raffle tickets will be entered to win a gift certificate to a local business! 

Then, join us in March for our Winter Reading Book Discussion where we will sip hot chocolate and discuss our favorite winter reads.

What is the Beanstack Tracker app?

Beanstack has developed a free app for iOS and Android users to track their reading challenges. Readers can use the app to log reading sessions, write reviews, and complete activities while on the go. Any logging in the app will automatically be tied to your progress in the Winter Reading Challenge.

How do I sign up?

To sign up online, you will need to create an account with Beanstack or log in to your existing account. To create an account, go to shpl.beanstack.org or download the Beanstack Tracker App. Click on “Sign up!” or “Create an Account'' on the login page. Follow the prompts and enter your reader information.

How can I log books, submit reviews, and complete activities?

Beanstack Website: Sign in to your account. Click on the “Log Reading and activities” button at the top of the screen. You can log reading or activities for yourself, for other individual readers under your account, or for all readers under your account at the same time.

Beanstack Tracker App: Once you are signed in to the app, click on the plus (+) sign at the bottom of the screen. You will have the option of logging Reading, Activities, and Reviews. When logging books you’ve read, you can scan the book’s ISBN or manually search for it by Title or Author.
