The Memory Collectors by Kim Neville weaves for us a world in which ordinary objects retain the imprint of strong emotions and influence the moods and actions of the people they touch. Prepare for a suspenseful adventure into buried secrets!

Sarah Penner’s debut novel, The Lost Apothecary, has been mentioned in many popular magazines, and is also a LibraryReads Pick. In 1791, Nella uses her London apothecary shop to sell well-disguised poisons to desperate women who would kill to be free of the men in their lives. When, in present-day London an aspiring historian discovers an old apothecary vial, well … the story of the past collides with the present.

There seems to be an endless stream of historical fiction books set during the two World Wars and this month we feature four such books.
