This colorful exhibit features two artists who are passionate about flowers.
Ross Barbera grew up in the city and spent summers at his family’s homes in Smithtown and Peakville, New York. It was during these summers that he discovered the world of the natural landscape, and it has been the inspiration for his art ever since.
Denis Ponsot grew up with a large family of artists in Queens and started painting the summer before his 16th birthday, quickly realizing that art was meant to be his life’s work. He paints a variety of subjects, from street scenes and landscapes to still lifes.
The exhibit may be viewed during regular library hours.
