Rebecca’s art mirrors memories of her British upbringing. “I spent my formative years transfixed by the pageantry and history of England. As a young girl, I had a penchant for history, myths and legends, fairies and gnomes,” she says. “I became enchanted by enchantment and remain so to this day as I compose my art.”
She notes that her technique requires a great deal of attention to ensure the pieces fit seamlessly together in more of a mosaic than classic overlay collage.
“In viewing my art, I hope to enlighten, delight and inspire as I conjure up a refined and reflective world of make-believe and intrigue with patterns that mesh and stimulate questions, leaving one to wonder,” she adds.
