Program Description

Event Details

Art Club is a fun and creative program which spotlights a different artist each week.  Kids will listen to a story and create their own works of art inspired by artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Wassily Kandinsky, Gustav Klimt, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Romare Bearden, and Vincent van Gogh.

Gustav Klimt was an Austrian Symbolist painter.  He was one of the most prominent members of the Vienna Secession art movement.  His major works include paintings, murals, sketches, and other art objects.  Listen to a story, learn about Klimt's life and art techniques, and create your own work of art inspired by him.

Register online and pick up your art kit at the Children's Desk beginning February 26.
