Program Description

Event Details

This month we tour the Lake District and Northwest England. We'll go to Chester and take a walk on the largest remaining Roman wall to find the only house in town to escape the plague -- and learn why! Then see why poet William Wordsworth was so inspired by the lovely Lake District. See where children's author Beatrix Potter set her adventures for Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny in the fields and gardens she so loved near Windermere, the longest lake in the district and in all of England. Along the way we'll stop in Liverpool and see some popular Beatles' sights.
