Sustainability Celebration

The library will recognize its certification as a Sustainable Library at this gathering. South Huntington is only the 7th library in the country to achieve this designation. Throughout the step-by-step process, we revised and/or implemented policies and procedures to make the library environmentally sound, fiscally responsible and socially equitable. It will also be an opportunity to thank State Assemblyman Steve Stern for his support and for helping the library to secure a $25,000 bullet aid grant to replace our aging HVAC system with a more energy-efficient one.
