Program Description

Event Details

Landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted was born 200 years ago, on April 26, 1822. Central Park, Prospect Park and many others across the United States are popular today because of the way he designed them. He believed in the wonder of nature as a remedy to the stress of urban life and in free access for all. Discover the trademarks of Olmsted’s design and see how these are enjoyed today. Presented by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk.
