Join Civil War historian and author Michael K. Shaffer as he discusses the first scholarly edition of Colley's writings, In Memory of Self and Comrades. Thomas W. Colley served in one of the most active and famous units of the Civil War, the 1st Virginia Calvary. Shaffer will provide context to Colley's writings on his condition and the condition of other veterans dealing with amputations. All welcome.
