Charlie Zahm returns with “Music of the 79th NY Regiment”. The 79th volunteers was formed in 1859 and mustered into the service of the United States in 1861. Originally compose of Scotchman they were called the Highlanders. They served in First Bull Run where their colonel, brother of Secretary of War Cameron, was killed. They went on fight at Antietam and Vicksburg. All welcome!
