Event Details
Learn how eating locally benefits the community, environment and personal health. Content will include a guide to local seasonal crops that are budget friendly, how to identify local farmers markets, beginner planting guides that are accommodating to households with or without backyards and nutrition benefits of specific vegetables and herbs. We will also provide resources available to shop locally, such as WIC farmers’ market vouchers and Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program.
