Event Details
Join the Long Island Explorium for this interactive workshop where we challenge you to build a rollercoaster for a marble! We will explore Newton's Laws of Motion and how we can use these to ensure our marble has enough energy to get round the track but does no go flying off. Your rollercoaster will not have an engine--so how do we need to design it to ensure that the marble keeps rolling? Where does your marble get its energy from? How could you give it more or less energy? What happens if you change the initial height of your rollercoaster? Register beginning June 20.

Children’s Programs
If you can't make a class for which you have registered your child, please call the Children's Desk at 631-549-4411 ext. 301 and let us know so that we can give the spot to a child on the waiting list. If you are more than 5 minutes late for a program and haven’t called to hold your child’s spot, we will assume you are not coming and will allow waiting patrons to attend.
