Crafty Chemistry: Geodes

Learn about geodes, create an eggshell geode crystal, and then make a fun craft using your geode crystals.

For the eggshell geode crystals, you will need eggshells (cut lengthwise), alum powder, food coloring, glue, a paintbrush, and hot water.  For the craft, you will need heavy white paper or a paper plate, crayons or markers, glue, two large craft sticks, and a glass or plastic container.
