Celebration of an Irish Christmas

Musician Greg Ryan will perform traditional Irish Christmas using songs (in Irish and English) backing himself on guitar and harmonica. He'll also share anecdotes on the customs and origins of an Irish Christmas, and instrumental tunes played on the flute and pennywhistle and possibly the Bodhran, the traditional Irish drum. Greg has lived in Ireland and experienced the Irish Christmas celebrations and it is truly the most festive and joyous time for the Irish. Having been the artistic director of the Irish Arts Center, focused his doctoral studies on the Irish home and abroad, and having lived and hitchhiked throughout Ireland as a travelling minstrel, Greg is well versed in the music and customs of the Irish.
