Program Description

Event Details

Art Club is a fun and creative program which spotlights a different artist each week.  Kids will listen to a story and create their own works of art inspired by artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Wassily Kandinsky, Gustav Klimt, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Romare Bearden, and Vincent van Gogh.

Henri Matisse, one of the undisputed masters of 20th century art, was a revolutionary French artist best known for the expressive color and form of his Fauvist style.  Listen to a story, learn about Matisse's life and art techniques, and create your own work of art inspired by him.

Register online and pick up your art kit at the Children's Desk beginning February 12.
