Art Club: Frida Kahlo (L)

Art Club is a fun and creative program which spotlights a different artist each week.  Kids will learn about various artists and create their own works of art inspired by these artists.

Frida Kahlo was a Mexican painter who achieved great international popularity.  She painted using vibrant colors in a style that was influenced by indigenous cultures of Mexico as well as by European influences that include Realism, Symbolism, and Surrealism. Many of her works are self-portraits.  Learn about the artist and create your own work of art inspired by her.
