Program Description

Event Details

Art Club is a fun and creative program which spotlights a different artist each week.  Kids will listen to a story and create their own works of art inspired by artists such as Ansel Adams, Ashley Bryan, Nikki McClure, Ruth Asawa, Banksy, Piet Mondrian, Marc Chagall, Joseph Cornell, Alexander Calder, Gyo Fujikawa, Bill Cunningham, and Edward Hopper.

Banksy is a contemporary British street artist and activist who, despite his international fame, has maintained an anonymous identity.  Although details of the artist’s life are largely unknown, it is thought that he started his career as a graffiti artist.  Listen to a story, learn about the elusive artist, and create your own work of art inspired by him.

Register beginning February 4.
