Program Description

Event Details

Art Club is a fun and creative program which spotlights a different artist each week.  Kids will listen to a story and create their own works of art inspired by artists such as Ansel Adams, Ashley Bryan, Nikki McClure, Ruth Asawa, Banksy, Piet Mondrian, Marc Chagall, Joseph Cornell, Alexander Calder, Gyo Fujikawa, Bill Cunningham, and Edward Hopper.

Photographer Ansel Adams has been a visionary in his efforts to preserve this country's wild and scenic areas, both on film and on Earth.  Drawn to the beauty of nature's monuments, he is regarded by environmentalists as a monument himself, and by photographers as a national institution.  Listen to a story, learn about Adam's life and work, and create your own work of art inspired by his photography.

Register online and pick up your art kit at the Children's Desk beginning September 3.
