Program Description

Event Details

Art Club is a fun and creative program which spotlights a different artist each week.  Kids will listen to a story and create their own works of art inspired by artists such as Ansel Adams, Ashley Bryan, Nikki McClure, Ruth Asawa, Banksy, Piet Mondrian, Marc Chagall, Joseph Cornell, Alexander Calder, Gyo Fujikawa, Bill Cunningham, and Edward Hopper.

Gyo Fujikawa was a prolific American author and illustrator of more than 50 children's books.  She is often credited as the first children's author to depict children of many races and ethnicities in her books.  Listen to a story, learn about Fujikawa's life and art techniques, and create your own work of art inspired by her.

Register beginning January 7.
