Program Description

Event Details

Art Club is a fun and creative program which spotlights a different artist each week.  Kids will listen to a story and create their own works of art inspired by artists such as Ansel Adams, Ashley Bryan, Nikki McClure, Ruth Asawa, Banksy, Piet Mondrian, Marc Chagall, Joseph Cornell, Alexander Calder, Gyo Fujikawa, Bill Cunningham, and Edward Hopper.

Bill Cunningham was a legendary New York Times journalist and photographer who was a familiar figure on the streets of New York City. On his bicycle, Cunningham would chronicle what people were wearing in daily life, at fashion shows, and at elegant soirées, celebrating creativity and often spotting trends before anyone else. Listen to a story, learn about Cunningham’s life, and create your own work of art inspired by him.

Register beginning January 21.
