Program Description : For almost two decades beginning with "Oklahoma!" in 1943, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein were at the forefront of American musical theater. Using a variety of video and audio clips, presenter Richard Knox will give us a look at many of their great works including "South Pacific", "The King and I", "The Sound of Music", and "Carousel", with performances by such great musical artists such as Mary Martin, John Raitt, Kelli O'Hara, Ezio Pinza, Gordon MacRae, and Shirley Jones. We will also have an opportunity to view archival footage of interviews with both subjects who will reflect on their collaboration after years of partnering with other great lyricists and composers in the world of Broadway. All welcome!
