    Details : Learn about the many different alternatives to traditional cable, along with their costs, pros, cons and other factors to consider when deciding if and how to cut the cord. Alternatives to be demonstrated include Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and Google streaming, Kodi, and many popular TV streaming systems such as PS Vue. Seating is limited.     Details : Have you ever wanted to play a musical instrument? Learn the fundamentals of the ukulele, which is a musical instrument with four strings that looks like a small guitar. Instruments will be provided. Register July 11.

Librarian PJ Novak will be on hand to show you how to access free genealogical resources, including Ancestry.com, through the library and to offer search tips and advice. No registration necessary.

  13. West Side Story: From Stage to Screen

    Details : Jack Schnur, former videotape editor for CBS, returns to our library to present this multi-media program featuring songs, interviews and clips from the original Broadway production and the film. All welcome.
  14. Chess Nuts

    Details : Have you always wanted to learn how to play chess or just want someone to play chess with? The Long Island Chess Nuts will provide 1/2 hour of chess instruction followed by 1/2 hour of playing time. Register July 3.
  15. 3D Printing Camp

    Details : Learn the ins and outs of Sketchup Pro and design your very own phone case! Recommended for those with Tinkercad or other 3D printing experience. To get the most out of this 3 week workshop and get your completed design printed, you must be able to attend the first week and a minimum of 4 out of 6 total classes. Registration begins July 1. Please note: The dates for this program are July 9 &11, 23 & 25 and July 30 & August 1. (Tuesdays and Thursdays) There is no workshop the week of July 16 & 18.
  16. Battle of the Books

    Details : If you are entering grades 6, 7, 8 or 9 in September and love to read, we have the program for you! We need your skills to read and memorize trivia from eight pre-selected books to compete against other Suffolk libraries for the title of County Champion! Meetings will be on Thursdays June 13 - August 8 from 5:00-6:00pm pm in the YA library, with the actual battle taking place on Saturday, August 10th and Monday, August 12th. New participants are welcome to attend June 13, 18 and 26.
  17. Groot Beer Floats

    Details : Learn how to make the sweetest treat in all of the Galaxy; Groot Beer Floats. They'll be so good, you'll be dancing for more. Please let us know about any food allergies when registering for this program. Registration begins July 1

    Details : Thanos is on the loose & we need your help to stop him! Test your super skills at our S.H.I.E.L.D. training camp and earn a hero badge. Superhero attire is strongly encouraged, but not required. Register July 11 at 7 p.m.
