  2. A Time for Kids

    Location : Program Room
    Details : Enjoy a series of fun, educational classes for preschoolers ages 18 months - 5 years (not yet in Kindergarten) and an adult caregiver. This is a skill building, interactive class that will help prepare your child for independent learning experiences. Register October 5.
  3. Drop-In and Play
    Time : 12:00 PM
    Location : Program Room
    Details : Get out of the house, meet other parents and kids and have fun playing and talking together. It's a great way to meet other families in our community. Stay for as long or as little as you like.
  4. Crochet for Kids
    Time : 4:30 PM
    Location : Program Room
    Details : Miss Gail will teach you basic stitches. After you have perfected your stitch, you will be given instructions to make a crocheted scarf or bag. Please bring to class a J crochet hook and a 4 ply skein of yarn. Register October 5.

    Details : Calling all teen artists, musicians, poets, dancers, authors, photographers and more! Whatever you do to express yourself creatively we welcome you to our open mic with open arms! If you would like to support others who are sharing, please do. Now is the time to share your gifts with us, even if it is just to applaud the others, your presence is important. .   6. Junie B. Jones, The Musical

    Details : It's Junie B.'s first day of first grade, and a lot of things have changed for her: Junie's friend, Lucille, doesn't want to be her best pal anymore and, on the bus, Junie B. makes friends with Herb, the new kid at school. Also, Junie has trouble reading the blackboard and her teacher, Mr. Scary, thinks she may need glasses. Throw in a friendly cafeteria lady, a kickball tournament and a "Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal," and first grade has never been more exciting. Performed by the YA Theater Group of the South Huntington Public Library. South Huntington cardholders can get free tickets beginning October 1. Tickets are valid until 6:50 p.m., when non-ticket holders will be seated, if there is space.
